Grandma Lynskey's Pecan Sandies

3 tbs. confectioners sugar
1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sifted flour

Cream butter.
Add sugar; cream together and add vanilla.
Add flour and salt and mix well by hand.
Add chopped nuts and work in. Dough forms a large ball.
Divide dough into 3 parts; divide each part into 10 pieces. Roll each piece and shape into a crescent.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
Let cool; dust with confectioners sugar.

Yield: 30 cookies.

Notes: To make a double (60 cookies) recipe, double all of the above ingredients except for the salt and the vanilla.
